Constellations presents a selection of artists whose practices leverage the nuances of material and formal oppositions to collapse entrenched conceptual dualisms. Though each artist appears to address a discrete dualism, taken together they form a more complex structural network—a constellation of conversations—where spontaneous dualisms arise, evolve, mutate, and dissolve. Rather than points of dichotomy, rupture, or separation, dualisms emerge as nodular ends that become the basis for forming lines of connection between disparate times, entities, and concepts.
